Natural remedies for children who have attention problems?

February 4, 2010 - 6:49 am 10 Comments

First, I want to make it clear that my son has not been diagnosed with any attention problem, but he is having difficulties in paying attention and following instructions at home and at school (he is 7 years old). We do make sure he is getting at least 10 hours of sleep per night and that his diet is healthy. Do you know of any natural remedies or supplements that could help him out? Drugs are out of the question. Thank you!

What are some natural remedies without medicatons for sleeping at night?

January 28, 2010 - 6:10 am 16 Comments

I’m prescribed lunesta, but i don’t take it because it leaves a terrible taste in my mouth all day the next day. What are some better ways to help me sleep at night? I usually just end up staying up for 2 or three nights straight and then i sleep really good that next night. but i wish i could actually sleep good every night. I hate taking medicine though. so anybody know any natural remedies. I do drink coffee but only in the morning. You don’t think i should give up coffee do you?

I tried lunesta too. It did not work very well as a sleep aid, and I agree about the terrible taste. Many people should not drink coffee after 3 PM. It’s unlikely you should give up your morning coffee unless you are hypersensitive to caffeine.

Below is a long list I once wrote about ways to fall asleep. The list is so long that reading it might put you to sleep :-) This list is the one that Tony I copied and pasted from me without my permission.

If nothing below works, email me and I can give you some suggestions about over the counter and prescription meds, if necessary. However, the natural remedies below are safer and free of side effects.

What helped me a lot to fall asleep, especially when my mind was racing, was to lie in bed and listen to relaxation CDs, especially those that contain someone speaking with relaxing music in the background. The combination of voice and music is very soothing. Many of these CDs are available on eBay for very low prices.

A warm bath is a great way to help you to sleep (depending on the season). If you can’t take a bath, you can give yourself a foot massage with slightly warm massage oil, sesame oil, or castor oil from a health food store.

A helpful technique is to relax your body one part at a time. So you could relax your feet, your lower legs, upper legs, moving up from your lower belly up to your chest, etc., until your whole body is relaxed.

Of course, guided relaxation methods can help. As vividly as possible, imagine yourself at the beach, in the mountains or country, or whatever is most soothing to you.

If you have annoying thoughts that run through your mind when you are trying to sleep, you might have to talk to a counselor or therapist about that. I suggest avoiding prescription sleeping pills unless nothing else helps.

There are herbs that might help you to sleep, eg, valerian root, kava kava, chamomile, hops, passion flower, skullcap. Probably, valerian root and kava kava are the best. However, what most people don’t realize is that it can take at least a few weeks for some herbs to build up in your system before they start to work.

The minerals calcium and magnesium might be helpful for sleep. You can also try 5-HTP or melatonin. I would not take melatonin for over a month unless your doctor says it is ok.

What natural remedies work to reverse baldness?

January 21, 2010 - 9:54 am 4 Comments

What natural remedies work to reverse and prevent baldness? My doctor says I have the early symptoms of a classic case of female pattern baldness. What do you think I should do?

Male or female pattern baldness are from the sae problem. Hair loss is often linked to poor diet, especially consumption of fried foods, hydrogenated oils and INFECTION (including bacterial, viral, fungal or parasitic) that may be in the scalp itself (often causing dandruff) or it may be a systemic infection. It’s also linked to mineral deficiencies, intestinal infections (where waste products backup into the liver, that can affect the head and scalp. Mineral deficiencies can be caused by infections ANYWHERE in the body and a deficiency in co-factors that allow the body to even absorb what is consumed. Lack of sunlight, heavy metal exposure (especially due to bad dentistry that is rampant in the U.S. now due to the materials, chemicals, and procedures being followed as a "standard of care" dentistry), etc.

If your hair is coming out in clumps, that is typically a parasite. Since it is "female" pattern baldness, that is typically due to dihydrotestosterone (a derivative of testosterone) "DHT" that hardens the galea (skin on top of the head) and chokes the hair follicle to death, resulting in hair loss.

This type of hair loss can be slowed and even reversed by eating a high quality Oat Grass because the Oat Grass prevents the formation of the DHT.

There is some genetic issues, but contrary to popular belief, it is very small. Most are due to the above factors.

I found a great source for the Oat Grass in capsules that contain no excipients and works for most of my clients. Go to: (800) 370 – 3447 and order the Oat Grass and take lots of it. I think you will see a big difference. I would also get two other nutrients they sell. The Oat grass comes in a product they call "Greens Mix" and I get it in capsule for (they also sell it in powder, but most prefer the capsules). It is part of a 3 nutrient combination they call, "super food trio." I would get all three because this will give you most everything your body needs as a supplement each day and will only make you healthier.

Also, if you are experiencing excess testosterone or a low estrogen issue, you may want to consider an endocrine issue that could be contributing to this problem. Sometimes, PCOS happens because the ovaries are enlarging due to deficiencies in fat. If you are on a LOW FAT diet, or LOW SALT diet, you need to free yourself from the lies you have been told about fat and salt that is rampant misinformation being spread by people, doctors, etc. that have no clue what they are talking about when it comes to nutrition.

I strongly urge you to seek out a Certified Nutritional Therapist (not just a nutritionist) and have them test you for deficiencies. They can test you and tell you exactly what nutrients your body is lacking and help you with the correct supplements and quantities of that specific to you deficiency and also recommend diets that will make you healthy instead of that "make believe health" you get from drugs that ALWAYS damage your body in some way.

good luck to you

What are some natural (no medication/pills/drugs) ways or techniques to grow taller?

January 13, 2010 - 5:18 pm 4 Comments

I’m have medium-shortish height compared to lots of people in my grade…any natural tips or techniques on growing taller???

Hey

There are some specific methods that can help you to be taller.
here are some tips that were helpful for me to grow taller naturally:

Have a good sleep

Getting a full night’s sleep every night is one of the things that you must do if you want to grow taller.
Get about 8 hours of sleep each night and take whatever steps you need to ensure that your sleep is uninterrupted as much as you can.

Actually, the first 2 hours of sleep are when the most growth hormone is released into your system from your pituitary gland. Sleeping just a few hours can lower the amount of growth hormone your body produces, which is very bad for you.

You need to eat the right foods

You need to start eating foods that are rich in proteins.
for instance:
milk, fish, eggs, and lean meat are all forms of good protein.
Try also eating foods that have plenty of amino acids and vitamins.
On the other hand you must know about some of the biggest threats to your growth potential: caffeine, junk food and refined sugar.

Leg lengthening, spine lengthening and other exercises

There are some very useful exercises for growing taller. Swimming for example is really great.

In the water you have less gravity and that means more open bone areas for your body to fill them with new bone tissue. The free motion of swimming is very light on your body and greatly releases stress, which can be very bad to your growth potential. If you can swim 3-4 times a week it will be great.

Anyhow, don’t go out and buy those "wonder pills" that you can find anywhere online, they just don’t work and you will spend your money for nothing. Why not? Well because the only scientific way the body grows is through the release of our natural height increasing hormone called HGH in short.

There are very few programs that actually work and can help you growing taller naturally by 2-4 inches in just a couple of weeks.
Check this article for information about proven program that helped 1000’s of people from all over the world to grow taller naturally:

Another great way to become taller is to buy height increasing shoes that will make you taller invisibly . It will not make you grow taller but it will easily increase your height immediately. For useful information on elevator shoes and how to choose the right shoes that will be suitable for you check this article:

I hope that these tips will be helpful for you.

Hi, you can try one of the natural treatments for psoriasis from the Internet – some of them do actually work. For my psor. I use herbal cream by Champori quite successfully. It takes just a couple of weeks to clear the spots and they stay clear for months on end.
Try it: champori is available without prescription and comes with money back guarantee so if it doesn’t work for you – it’s free.

Are there any natural remedies for Fibromyalgia that really work?

December 18, 2009 - 8:39 am 5 Comments

I have Fibromyalgia and have been on a roller coaster ride of prescription drugs. I’m sick of it. It’s been a couple years, and I’m still not feeling any better. I still hurt like H**L, but I really am sick of being treated like a guinea pig!!! I’m ready to try some natural remedies. I take Elavil for the psychological aspects of the disorder. I don’t want to be one of those people who says, "oh I feel fine" and then quits the meds, but I don’t want to be reliant on any drugs.

Do these natural remedies to flush gall stones work?

December 10, 2009 - 9:19 am 5 Comments

I’m having (I think) gall bladder attacks about every month now. I know these are caused by gall stones.

Looks like I have three options,

1) eat better, and hope I don’t have any more attacks
2) have my gall bladder removed
3) "flush" my gallbladder with some of these natural remedies.

Do these natural remedies really work, or do they just want my money?

You cannot "flush" gallstones. PERIOD.

There are people who want to sell you something, and they will lie and tell you that a flush will work. They do not. Gallstones do not pass from the gallbladder no matter what you take. It just does not happen.
